AIKEN — Mrs. Minnie Lee Day Carpenter, 68, wife of Raymond H. Carpenter, died Friday at her home.
Born in Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late Hansford and Nova Day.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Wiles; two sons, Earl and Raymond Carpenter; three sisters, Mrs. Grady Hatcher and Mrs. Herbert Temple of Aiken and Mrs. Otis Thompson of Langley; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 4:30 p.m. today at Shiloh Baptist Church.
