John Angelo Ferry was born to Patrick Ferry and Jane Katherine Ferry (Hoffman Poff) on April 11, 1879 in Dracut, Massachusetts. He married Bessie Agnes Donnelly on January 1, 1902 in Lowell, Massachusetts. They lived in Lowell for a couple years, then moved to Lansdowne, New Brunswick, Canada where they had eight children: Alice Ferry (1902-1995), Marshall Paul Ferry (1904-1982), Robert John Ferry (1906-1996), Bertha Ferry Williams (1908-1988), Lena E. Ferry Patchell (1910-1999), Cecil G. Ferry (1912-1984), Harold Eugene Ferry (1917-1993), and Ruby Katherine Ferry Eckler (1919-1995). Moved to Newport, Maine in 1923 and lived there until his death, February 22, 1957.
