Clarendon Oxford is the husband of my 3rd great Aunt Martha "Patty" Freeman b. 1804 Lancaster, MA d. 23 AUGUST 1897 Gardner, MA. She was the daughter of Phillip Freeman b. 10 MAY 1774 Holliston, MA d. 04 JULY 1841 Gardner. (Son of Sambo, pronounced Zambo, Freeman and Eleanor Donahue Oxford of Holliston) and Martha "Patty" Hammond b. abt 1777 d. 15 DEC 1868 Gardner (daughter of Caesar Hammond and Mercy Travers see Caesar Hammond) Family info below.

Zachariah Oxford b. 1778 Marlboro, MA d. 1829 Sterling, MA m. 30 Jun 1800 Boylston, MA Joannah Bondsman b. 1775 Boylston daughter of Cato Bondsman (This family also went by last name of Bond) b. abt. 1747 d. 1801 Boylston and Eunice ? b. cir. 1750.

Seraphina also married Perley Hammond of Lancaster, son of Caesar Hammond Rev War Veteran of Lancaster and Mercy Travers (a white woman) my 5th great grandparents. Ishmael Dorchester was the son of Dorchester and Margaret b? d 9 APRIL 1816 Sterling Mass.

Perley Hammonds father Caesar Hammon/Hammond had a brother named Cuff Cozzens also a Rev War Veteran who changed his name to his fathers name of Tindy after he was free and then went by the name of Cuff Tindy. Their father was a slave named James Tindy who belonged to John Jones of Hopkinton, MA.
