Nancy was the daughter of Settino Pierini and Maria Giannoni, both of Italy. Her father, with only $30 in his pocket, traveled from Lucca Italy to New York, then on to join his brother in Dos Palos, CA.
Nancy married the handsome James R Corona on May 10, 1936 at Sacred Heart Church in Dos Palos where they had both graduated from high school several years earlier. Sadly, their first son lived barely 5 days but the joy of their lives was their son David James.
