MRS. MATTIE O. WHITEHORN
Mrs. Mattie Ophelia Whitehorn, 73, died suddenly at the home of her son, Mr. Ben Whitehorn , in South Covington, of heart trouble Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock.
Mrs. Whitehorn's funeral was held in her sons home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock , Rev. S.B. Morrison conducting the services, after which the interment took place at Mt. Carmel cemetery.
Mrs. Whitehorn was born in Lawrence county, Ala. She was the widow of the late L.H. Whitehorn. Four sons survive her, Messrs. Henry, Ben, Nelson and Warner Whitehorn. and two daughters ,Mrs. W.G. Watkins and Mrs. R.W. Townsend. One brother , Mr. N.W. Misenheimer, of Memphis also survives as so three sisters, Mrs. C.D. Beasley, Mrs. Laura Glover and Mrs. H.A. Posey. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church.
