William died on August 8, 1864 from wounds as a confederate soldier.

The 1900 census shows Rebecca had given birth to seven children, but only four were living. Lillie and George both died sometime before 1900. There is one other child that we have not been able to find any information on which also died before 1900.

N.A. Sturdivant Is Laid To Rest
Funeral services for N.A. Sturdivant who died at his home near Danville on Saturday were conducted at Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Home Sunday by Rev. R. W. Wallis and interment was in Leemont Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Ben Carter, W.E. Jefferson, W.B. Hall, John Owen, Ed Seay, and Kenneth Seay. Flowers were conveyed in flower cars.
