Johann Henry Bergman was born on May 13, 1821 in Hanover, Germany. After coming to this country, he married Mary Strasmeyer Oct. 15, 1846. He died July 26, 1863 and was buried in the old Township Cemetery by Sugar Creek., St. 20, Woodville. (Mary who later married John Avers died in 1895 and is buried at Union Cemetery, Elmore).
