Funeral services for Elbert "Bert" Clamon, 64, were held Wednesday, March 31, 1993, from the chapel of the Pace Funeral Home, with Bro. W. C. Phillips officiating.

Interment followed in Feagin Cemetery, Hortense.

Mr. Clamon died March 29, 1993 in John Sealy Hospital, Galveston.

He was born July 7, 1928 in Camden, the son of Dee Clamon and Rosa Hickman Clamon.

Mr. Clamon grew up in the Leggett area. He retired from the oilfield industry, having worked for Rancho Oil for a number of years. He loved to hunt and fish and spent much of his time after retiring doing both.

Survivors include his mother, Rosa Hickman Clamon of Houston; two sisters, Annie Mae Rocka and husband, J. T. Rocka of Houston and Ola Irene Allen of Houston; 10 step-children, Sandra Istre and Fay Adams of Baytown, Sue Rusher of Crosby, Alene Edmonds, Carol Proctor and Lee Dale Dailer of Livingston, Charolette Smith and Leslie Reber of Pittsburg, Texas, and Velma Lewis and Linda Sue Bugbee of Houston; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
