Major League Baseball Player. Born in Pelham Manor, New York, he was a left handed pitcher making his debut with the Boston Red Sox on August 17, 1927. Playing only one season for the Boston Red Sox, his career ended in 1928, due to an arm injury. Following his baseball career, he served in the US Military during World War II and after the war, worked as town supervisor and tax receiver for Pelham, New York. At the time of his death at age 98, he was the second-oldest former baseball player.
