Lucy J. [sic] Sedillo

Lucy L. Sedillo, of 2001 20th St., Penrose, died Sunday, March 11, 1984 at a local hospital. Born July 9, 1895 at Colmar, New Mexico, the daughter of Miguel and Louise (Valdez) Lopez, she was 88.
Mrs. Sedillo came to Colorado in 1926 and moved to Penrose in 1950. A housewife by occupation, she was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church.
She was married May 5, 1916 at Raton, N.M. to Julian J. Sedillo. He preceded her in death in June, 1983.
Mrs. Sedillo is survived by seven children, Arthur (wife, Nora) Sedillo of Penrose, Michael (Pat) Sedillo of Penrose, Julian (Evelyn) Sedillo of Aurora..., Louise (Fidel) Guara of Pueblo..., and Helen Johnson of Penrose [some survivor information omitted to protect privacy of living individuals]. Also surviving are one brother, Ralph [Rafael] Lopez of Springer, N.M.; three sisters, Lenora Lopez of Springer, N.M., Celia Herrera of Maxwell, N.M., and Mary Romer[o] of Albuquerque; 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews
Rosary Recitation will be held Wednesday, March 14, 1984, 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 14, 1984 at 10 a.m.; both at St. Benedict's Catholic Church of Florence. Father Vincent Peter, OSB, officiating. Interment, Mountain Vale Memory Gardens, Canon City.
Arrangements are through Andrews Funeral Home.
