JUNCTION CITY (Spl.) -Clyde G. Estes, 84, of Junction City, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe, La., after an illness of one year. He was a salesperson, retired from Hub Frankel department store in Danville.
Mr. Estes was born Sept. 9, 1890 in Montgomery County. He had lived here since 1930. He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Edward B. Estes of Danville and Lee Estes of Monroe; four grandchildren, Carol and David Estes, both of Danville, Gary Lee Estes of Monroe and Mrs. Joe Mayeux of Houston, Tex. and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Gardner and the Rev. Smith Gilmore officiating. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Funeral services for Clyde Garret Estes, 84, of Danville, Ky., father of Lee Estes of Monroe, will be held Thursday at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.
Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery there.
Local arrangements are under direction of Mulhearn’s Funeral Home of Monroe.
Mr. Estes died Monday in St Francis Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Estes was a native of Montgomery County, Ala. He was a retired salesman and a member of Centenary Baptist Church of Danville.
Survivors include another son Edward B Estes of Danville ,Ky. and four grandchildren.
