GALIVANTS FERRY - Services for Eunice Nettie Graham Hardwick Cooke, 69, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from Berea Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cooke, wife of Joseph "Joe" C. Cooke of the Joyner Swamp Community, died Friday, September 17, 1999 at her residence following the illness. Mrs. Cooke was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late William Herbert Graham Sr. and Nettie Strickland Graham. She was a member of Berea Baptist church, the Order of The Eastern Star #279, Past Worthy Matron, Past Chairman of the Election Commission for Horry County and former owner and operator of Hardwicks Country Store.
Surviving are her husband of Galivants Ferry; son, Carson Hardwick of North Myrtle Beach; daughters, Linda Hardwick Tilton of Pamplico and Connie Hicks of Galivants Ferry; brother, W.H. "Junior" Graham of Loris; four grandchildren; six step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cooke was pre-deceased by her first husband, Easmon V. Hardwick.
