ARCANUM - Shawn Michael Richard, 44, of Arcanum, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at his residence. He was born Oct. 22,1967, in Dayton, Ohio.
He is survived by his parents, Clarence Laverne and Diane Ida (Scheese) Richard; loving wife, Joyce Ann (Mead) Richard; sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Brian Henderson of Pitsburg; nephews, Matthew and Amanda Henderson, Dusty Mead; niece, Kristen
Henderson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth L. Sr. and Joycelyn I. Mead; brother-in-laws, Kenneth Mead Jr., Craig Alan Mead, Jamie Mead and Michael Mead; sister-in-law, Kendra Mead; and many nieces and nephews.
Shawn served his country in the U.S. Army, was formerly from Franklin-Monroe, class of 1986.
He was formerly a member of the Pitsburg and Arcanum Fire Department, was employed at Lowes-Greenville and enjoyed bowling, home improvement and his beloved dogs Champion, Emma and Curly Sue.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St., West Milton, with pastor Rob Dauber officiating. Burial will follow at Gettysburg Cemetery.
