MRS. LANIER DIES AT HOSPITAL HERE
Mrs. Alberta Berry Lanier, wife of Major A.S. Lanier and member of an old Virginia family, died yesterday morning at a local hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Richmond, a daughter of David and Mrs. Martha Hill Berry, she spent much of her life here, later residing in Washington.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are four nieces, Mrs. Selden Hobson and Mrs. Julien Gunn of Richmond, Mrs. Fred Keen of Scarsdale, N.Y., and Mrs. J.D. Knight of St. Petersburg, Fla. She was a sister of the late O.H. Berry of Richmond.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning at the grave in Hollywood Cemetery.
