Funeral services for Charles Monroe Turner, Jr., 9th grade Bramwell school boy who was drowned last Thursday, July 10, 1941 near the Bramwell ball park, will be held at 2:30 this afternoon in the Freeman Baptist Church of which he was a member.
Born in Tazewell County, Va., he was a son of Charles Monroe Turner, Sr. and Mary L. Reedy Turner.
The Rev. R. J. Tyler, the pastor, assisted by the Rev. Farmer will conduct the services and burial will be in the Simmons Cemetery.
Pallbearers—Jack Jones, Don Jones, Guy Kelly, Jack Foster, Billy Foster and Frank Vest.
Flowerbearers—Urlene Davis, Alma Mahaffey, Betty Chumbley, Maybelle Harold, Mary Ann Vest, Elsie Noel, Mildred Kelly, Genne Hall, and Mary Gray.
