Born Feb. 3, 1944, in Bloomington, he was the son of Clifford Raymond and Goldie May (Aynes) Brown.
He was a welder at Otis Elevator for 33 years and served as secretary for AFL-CIO Local 826. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne L. (Hancock) Brown; two daughters, Heidi Shaw and Sarah Shaw, both of Bloomington; two stepsons, Frankie Walker of Martinsville and Aaron Walker of Bloomington; two sisters, Vivian Covert of Newport, Tenn., and Barbara Brinegar of Bloomington; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ben Brown.
Services will be noon Tuesday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, with Bishop George Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Mount Gilead Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
