Mrs. Schumpert, a native of Edgefield County, had retired from the department of social services, where she worked with the homebound program. She was a member of Women's Missionary Union, Golden Age Club and Eastern Star, Ackerman Chapter 198. She was a member of Williston First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jessie Donald ``Don'' Schumpert, Savannah, and Edwin Jacob ``Ed'' Schumpert Jr., Williston; two daughters, Edwina S. Dyches, Aiken, and Judith S. ``Judy'' Vetor, Williston; four sisters, Mescal Dicks, Williston, Gladys Turner, Edgefield, Weedie Warren, St. Matthews, and Edna Miller, Kenner LA. Folk Funeral Home.
