Francis J. Suchon, 93, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at the Portage County Health Care Center.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Al Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and in the Family Center of the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the Mass. The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary will have a veterans ritual at 6:30 p.m. Friday, and the St. Anne's Society and the St. Stanislaus Rosary Society will combine with the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Suchon was born March 18, 1912, in the town of Franzen in Marathon County, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Goskowicz) Stroik. She attended Klondike School in Marathon County.

She was married to Joseph Suchon on Aug. 22, 1927, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway. He died July 16, 1989.

After the marriage, they settled in the town of Franzen for a short time, then moved to the town of Sharon in Portage County. They settled in Stevens Point in 1937.

She worked for Dun-Rite Cleaners for more than 25 years as a seamstress, retiring in 1985.

She was a member of the St. Anne's Society of St. Joseph Church, the Rosary Society of St. Stanislaus Church and the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include three daughters, Eleanor (Bernard) Cichosz and Jeanette (Art) Boursier, both of Stevens Point, and Loretta (Gerald) Buege, Plover; three sons, Tony (Ruth), Richard (Barbara) and Robert (Linda), all of Stevens Point; three sisters, Theresa (Gene) Cisewski and Laura (Ben) Wolashek, both of Stevens Point, and Regina Groshek, Wittenberg; one brother, Sylvester (Alice) Stroik, Stevens Point; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; and five great-stepgrandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Leonard and Joseph Jr.; two brothers; one sister; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
