SPEARMAN - Marie BECK, 82, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Cole and the Rev. Derrel Evins officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. BECK was born November 18, 1922, in Ochiltree County and was a lifetime resident. She married Sid BECK Jr. on June 3, 1940, in Bowie. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Spearman. She was a homemaker and was involved in the County Extension Club for more than 50 years. She faithfully served her family, her community and her church throughout her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984; her parents, Bill and Elmina Williams DECK; and a daughter, Merrilyn BECK in 1965.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald BECK and wife, Nelva, and Ronnie BECK and wife, Kathy, all of Spearman, and Robert BECK and wife, Kathy, of McKinney; three daughters, Shirley BEGGS and husband, Don, of Blossom and Barbara GILLAM and Becky BECK, both of Allen; a sister, Thadine COOPER of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 547, Spearman, TX 79081; Hansford Hospice Volunteers, 707 S. Roland St., Spearman, TX 79081; or a favorite charity.
