Survivors: husband, G. W. (Billy) Newton of Sylvania; daughter, Cindy A. Parker of Springfield; sons, Ray Newton of Signal Mountain, TN, Tommy Newton of Chapin, SC; sisters, Luree S. Hodges of Newington, Carolyn S. Adams of Sylvania, Mattie Bell S. Dutton of Glennville, Maudeen S. Findley of Savannah; brother, Warren (Spike) Stafford of Sylvania; 13 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 2:00 p. m. Monday at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. Lawton Sack officiating.
Burial: Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
