Jansen Fargo Funeral Home. Cletus J. Lenz, 720 East Lincoln Avenue, Little Chute. Age 78, died unexpectedly, Monday, January 14, 2002. He was born April 28, 1923, to the late William and Lillian (Nushart) Lenz, in Little Chute, where he was a resident all of his life. Following his graduation from St. John High School, he served with the U. S. Army, during WW II. Cletus had been employed by Mid-Tech (Kimberly Clark), retiring in 1986. He enjoyed camping, woodworking and square dancing. Cletus was a member of St. John Catholic Church, and the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post # 258, of Little Chute. Survivors include his wife, Marie C. (Eckes) Lenz, to whom he had been married for 59 years; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sharon Lenz, Winneconne; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bill Kappell, Little Chute; four grandchildren, Bret (Tara) Lenz, Adam (Becky) Kappell, Bob (Alyssa) Kappell and Bonnie Kappell; five great grandchildren, Sean, Morgan and Makayla Lenz, Elizabeth Cavanagh, and Riley Kappell; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Lenz, Little Chute. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lenz, a granddaughter, Jessie (Lenz) VerVoort and a brother and sister-in-law, David and Jan Lenz. A memorial service for Cletus will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at the funeral home, with Deacon Vincent DeGroot officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 pm, on Wednesday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
