From: The Telegraph (Painesville, Lake County, Ohio) on 25 Mar 1968: Carlos H. Collier, 86, of Rt. 534, died at 10:30 pm Saturday at Geauga Community Hospital after a lingering illness. He was born in Munson on Feb. 21, 1882, and had been a resident of Mesopotamia for 35 years. On Oct. 27, 1921 he married the former Blanche Marr in Cleveland. He was a member of the Mesopotamia Methodist Church and a former member of the IOOF, both in Chardon and Mesopotamia. He is survived by his widow, sons, Duane of Florida, Murray of Painesville, Virgil of Mesopotamia; daughters Cindy of North Tonawanda, NY, Mrs. Ruby Perlik of Painesville, Mrs. Rita Cantrick of Painesville, Mrs. Carolyne Ellis of Lakewood. Three sons, Cecil, Kenneth Collier and Harold Marr preceded him in death. He was a grandfather to 11 and a great-grandfather to 16. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Russell Funeral Home. Rev. Buvah Stroud of the Methodist Church in Mesopotamia will officiate.
