Wallace Upton "Wally" White, 83, Stevens Point, died at home Wednesday, July 21, 2004.

An Eastern Star Ritual Service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at the Masonic Center, 1578 Strongs Ave., Stevens Point, and a Masonic Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Masonic Center.

Donations are requested to the Arbutus Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, in care of the Masonic Center in lieu of flowers.

Mr. White was born Sept. 17, 1920, in Lebanon, Mo., a son of the late Hiram David and Verna (Kelly) White.

He left the Missouri area in his teenage years to work in the Civilian Conservation Corps camps and then joined the U.S. Navy, where he served on submarines for more than 26 years. He saw duty in World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.

After he retired, he lived in Iowa, Texas and Colorado before moving to Wisconsin.

He was active in the Masonic family, belonging to Evergreen Lodge No. 93, Free & Accepted Masons of Wisconsin, the Scottish Rite Consistory and Shrine of Texas, as well as Arbutus Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Stevens Point.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of more than 44 years, Marguerite Eleanor.
