"GROOM WAS 59 YEARS OLD AND BRIDE BUT 21 - Prominent Bloomfield Township Farmer Married in Erie - ERIE, Jan 23 - Sanford D Blakeslee, a wealthy farmer from northern Crawford county, brought his home minister along with his bride, yesterday morning, and had the nuptial knot spliced for the third time in his life in the office of Clerk of Courts Gus J Miller, at the court house. His happy bride was Miss Mabel M Queer, an unusually pretty girl. She gave her age as 21 years, although she did not look to be more than 17. Her husband, who was exuberant with happiness, acknowledged to 59 years and to the additional fact that death had separated him from two loving life companions of former marriages. Rev Francis Small, the officiating clergyman, is the minister of the church which Mr Blakeslee and his wife attend in Bloomfield township, a few miles south of Union City. He accompanied the couple to this city upon request of the groom, who rewarded him with a new $5 bill for the brief ceremony witnessed only by Clerk Miller and his deputy. Mr and Mrs Blakeslee went sightseeing during the afternoon, and returned to Union City with the minister in the evening."
