Jack "Pappaw" Murphy, age 58, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was a native of Ashland, Ky. and had lived in the Paint Lick and Cartersville area of Garrard County for the past 2O years.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife of 39 years., Paula; His daughters, Jennifer and husband Michael Cecil and Melissa Murphy both of Paint Lick, Ky.; 2 grandchildren, Michael Dillon Cecil and Valerie Haven Murphy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Murphy and Verna Osborn Hurley.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Harry Revel officiating. Burial will follow in the Paint Lick Cemetery. funeral home obit
