On Friday, Feb. 12, after an illness of about seven weeks and in spite of all that loving hands and medical help could do, Mr. Henry Bean passed peacefully away. Henry Thomas Bean was born in St. Luke, Canada, Aug. 2, 1869. In early life he joined the Episcopal church. In 1895 he married Miss Mary O. Schayltz and in 1896 he moved to Vermont.

In 1897 he joined the Baptist church at Newport. He lived a Christian life, and was true and kind, a very loving husband and father. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, and six children: Lawrence H., Arthur W., Laura, Doris, and little twins boys, Edward and Norman.

Funeral services were held at the house Monday at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. H. B. Rankin officiating and interment was at Newport.

List of flowers and donors: A spray of pink and white carnations from the family; a spray of jonquils from Mr. John, Miss Emma and Mr. and Mrs. David Bean; spray of Easter lilies from the Newport Baptist church; white carnations, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Young, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Young and Mr. and Mrs. V. K. Young; narcissus and white roses, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Berry; pink carnations, Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Schayltz; calla lilies, Mrs. Helen Hindman; pillow of white roses and Japanese lilies from neighbors.
