Carol entered this life on March 1, 1936 in Ashland, Kansas born to the union of the late Clifford and Ann (Bradley) McFarland. She resided in San Francisco, California before moving to McDonald County Missouri at the age of six. On December 17, 1954 she was united in marriage to Donald Lloyd Haggard and together they have shared the last fifty-seven years. She and Don made their home in Pomona, California for ten years and in 1970 they returned home to McDonald County and settled in Anderson. They have resided in Goodman since 1992. Throughout her life she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She was a member of the Jefferson Street Church of Christ in Anderson, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Tonya Keener; a great granddaughter, Miracle Lynn Jennings; and a sister, Judy Boyajian.
Carol is survived by her husband, Don Haggard of the home; three sons, Eddie Haggard and wife, Vicky, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Lonnie Haggard and wife, Sandra, of Checotah, Oklahoma and Leslie Haggard and wife, Lecia, of Newton, Iowa; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; a sister, Lynn Pendergraft of Neosho, Missouri; two brothers, Clifford McFarland, Jr. of Dallas, Texas and Mike McFarland of Eugene, Oregon; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Haggard are 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2012 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastors JR Burr and Tommy Burr officiating. Burial will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
