Jerelyn Faye Oxner, 56, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 24, at OakCrest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, February 25, at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in China Spring Cemetery.

Jerry was born in Fort Worth, Texas, the only daughter of William Thomas Adams and Faye Lanell (Milford) Adams. Her family moved to Waco, and she graduated in 1973 from Richfield High School.

Jerry met her future husband, Greg Oxner, and the couple were married on June 28, 1976, by her father. She loved being outdoors, caring for her yard, and particularly enjoyed gardening flowers. Jerry took pride in her home and loved to decorate inside and out. She enjoyed listening to country western and classic rock.

Along with arts and crafts, Jerry enjoyed dove hunting, camping, and fishing with her husband. She was especially fond of fishing trips where she could have friends and family over for a large fish fry. She was a member of Journey Christian Community and a member of the China Spring community for over 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Thomas Adams.

Survivors include her husband, Greg; son, Colton Oxner; mother, Lanell Adams; brothers, Dan Adams and Wesley Adams; sister-in-law, Sheryl Adams; niece, Shelby Adams; nephew, Westin Adams; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
