Mrs. Granlund Will Be Buried This Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Edwin D. Granlund will be conducted this Friday in the Colonial chapel of the Hazen and Jaeger in the Valley Funeral home at 1 p.m. The Rev. Roy E. Howes will officiate. Mrs. Granlund - the former Margaret Varnes and daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. H. Varnes of Ritzville - passed away Tuesday morning in Spokane. She was graduated from Ritzville high school in 1938 and attended the College of Puget Sound in Tacoma and took teacher training at EWCE in Cheney. Her sorority at CPS was Delpa Alpha Gamma and she was a member of the Adelphian Concert choir at the school. She was a member of the Women's Optometric Auxiliary and of the Millwood Community Presbyterian church.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Edwin Granlund; two children, David and Elizabeth; a brother, Adolph Varnes of Colfax and her parents. Burial will be in the Pines cemetery, Opportunity.
