Given only three years to survive at initial diagnosis, Ms. Joseph lived life to the fullest for those three years and an additional six years. Ms. Joseph was a dedicated public servant, having worked for the federal government for over thirty-five years. She found travel to be a delightful pastime during her retirement years visiting several countries, including New Zealand, Australia, Italy and France.

Ms. Joseph was the only daughter born to the late Louis Albert and Henrietta Joseph, both of Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Anthony Joseph. She is survived by her remaining brother, Louis Joseph of San Antonio, TX; a loving son, AJ Hernandez, of Austin, TX; and a devoted daughter, Lisa Hernandez, who resides in Washington, DC. Ms. Joseph's passing was witnessed by her daughter as well as her best friend of 38 years, Mrs. Nita Bonner, of Eads, TN.

Ms. Joseph touched the lives of many people with her smile, kindness, and generosity and was noted for her beautiful spirit up to the time of her passing.
