Albert Clark was born on March 24, 1911 in Greenwood, Sebastian County, Arkansas. He was the second son born to Harry Sanford Clark and Mary Effie Hunt Clark.
The family lived in Arkansas until late 1915 when they moved to a farm at Stinson in Carter County, Kentucky. Albert had five brothers, and they all grew up in Carter County.
Albert Clark married Kathleen Waggoner on August 13, 1934. Together they had six children...two sons and four daughters. They purchased a farm on Stinson Creek and raised their family there.
Albert was a coal miner, a farmer, an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, and he was an enthusiastic gardener. He was also a gifted self-taught musician, and could play guitar, banjo, and a really mean harmonica. And he was a great story-teller.
Albert died in the Bellefonte Hospital in Greenup County, Kentucky on February 15, 2000. He was buried next to his wife in the East Carter County Memory Gardens in Carter County, Kentucky.
