1LT US Army

He was killed in action outside of Baghdad, Iraq, when a grenade was tossed at the Humvee in which he was riding. He and his wife, also serving in the US Army in Kuwait, were married in 2002. Among his military awards and decorations were the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

He was survived by his mother and father; his wife; and two sisters.

Interment was on April 23, 2003.
