Margaret Virginia Alexander, 93, of Sykesville, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Brinton Woods Nursing Center in Sykesville.

Born March 7, 1918, in Reisterstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Minnie L. Walsh Woolery. She was the wife of the late Marvin Bosley Alexander.

She had been a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Randallstown.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Richard and Pam Alexander, of Sykesville; daughters and sons-in-law Mary Ruth Potts and Alan, of Hanover, Pa., Margaret Ann Garrett and Ron, of Westminster, and Jean L. Alexander, of Sykesville; sisters Sister Mary Mark, of Baltimore, and Ethel G. Stang, of Randallstown; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

Service and interment are private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Oakland Cemetery Fund, c/o Gail Martin, 6170 Oakland Mills Road, Sykesville, MD 21784; or to the Holy Family Cemetery Fund, 9531 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133.
