Mary E. Brown Brewer, 91, of Geneva, OH, passed away March 21, 2004. Funeral services were conducted March 25 at Geneva Baptist Church in Geneva, OH, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva, OH. The Rev. Richard Thompson of Geneva Baptist Church officiated.
Mrs. Brewer was born March 10, 1913 in Crossville, the daughter of Alfred and Susie Elizabeth (Tabor) Wyatt.
A Geneva area resident since 1952, she enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and a member of Geneva Baptist Church. She was a matron for 15 years with the Geneva Area City Schools.
Survivors include her sons, N. Dean (Janice) Brown of Geneva, OH, Kenneth H. (Yvonne) Brown of Anderson, SC and F. Douglas (Joyce) Brown of Geneva, OH; daughter, Katie (Monte) Erwin of Geneva, OH; stepson, Francis (Jeanette) Brewer Jr. of Ashtabula, OH; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin Coolidge Wyatt of Crossville; and sister, Cora Lee Dykes of Crossville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Brown in 1950; second husband, Francis V. Brewer in 1984; son, Lenley Brown; stepsons, Nate and Harold Brewer; stepdaughter, Ardyth Rose; granddaughter, Ellen Beitel; great-grandson, Jason Berg; sisters, Ida Wyatt, Lissie Wyatt, Belle Newman, Viola Copeland and Lila Robinson; and brothers, John D., H.L., Riley, Carrell, Albert, Andy, Frank, Edward, Taylor and Ronald.
