Mr, Elias Webster Heller of Alhambra, Calif., passed away at South Lake Tahoe, Calif., on October 15, 1974, while on vacation. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Heller, long-time residents of Altoona. He was born September 4, 1881 in Towanda, Ill.
On October 18, 1911, he was married to Edna Shaffer in Altoona. They lived in Altoona until moving to Alhambra, Calif,. In 1938. She passed away in 1964.
Mr. Heller joined the David Masonic Lodge AF and AM No. 407 in 1909, being a member for 65 years.
He was a member of the Granada Park United Methodist church in Alhambra, Calif. A former pastor and close friend Rev. Olln Lehmen of Ajo, Ariz., and present pastor Rev. Charles Poole performed the funeral services Friday, Oct 18.
Mr. Heller is survived by three daughters, Anne and Betty Heller of Alhambra, Calif., Mrs. Barbara Coryell of Arcadia, Calif., and one son, E. W. Heller, II of Los Angeles, Calif.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. One son, Lewis Shaffer Heller, preceded him in death in 1970. Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Mary Owens of Turlock, Calif., one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Pearl Fern Scoley Heller of Glendale, Calif., one sister-in-law, Mrs. Anna Stivers of Los Angeles, Calif., and many beloved nieces and nephews.
