Samuel Stewart Freeman, 61, West Manor, Altadena, California, passed away July 13, 1944. A native of Iola, Kansas, he had been a resident of Altadena, California, seven years. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Freeman of Iola, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ada Freeman, Altadena, Calif., formerly Miss Ada Ouart of Iola, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Josie McDonald of Protection, Kansas; and one brother, Fred Freeman of Humboldt, Kansas. A son, Clifton, passed away at Tujunga, California five years ago.

The Freemans moved from Iola to Kansas City, Missouri, where he was employed by the Kansas Power and Light Company for twenty-one years. He retired and moved to Altadena, California, where he has since resided. Funeral services and burial were at Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale California.
