Colonel of the Life Guards Rifle Regiment. He graduated from the Corps of Pages. He served in the Ministry of Finance. He participated in World War I. He was seriously injured (left without hands), received the George Cross. In exile he lived in Paris. A member of the Union of pages, a member of the Central Board of the Union of Russian military invalids in France (1937).
