In 1925 she eloped to Juarez, Mexico with Edwin Carewe, motion picture director and actor who had discovered her and started her career. He was son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Fox, Chickasaw native American Indians. They had three children together. Her 3rd marriage was to Gerard Rea Colcord, a prominent architect of Los Angeles. He was son of Meta Elise Garrels and Walter Rea Colcord.
