Clothing Merchant of Hutchinson, Kansas. The son of Thomas D. and Mary (Jones) Bishop, his family came to America when he was an infant. Husband of Hattie M. Voorhies, they married in Ohio in 1872 and lived in Steubenville, Ohio, and Jasper, Illinois, before moving to Kansas in 1887. He retired from the clothing business in 1915 and came to California in 1920. Father of Mary Wickendoll, Maud Kiplinger, Andrew, Harry and Thomas R. Bishop, Jr.
