RUSSELL - A retired clothing merchant, Alexander (Alex) H. Reisig, 91, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1981 at the home of his daughter In Lakewood, Colo. He was born May 17, 1890, In Russia and came to the Milberger community south of Russell in 1909. Within a few days, he was employed by the L. Banker Mercantile Co. at Russell.
Reisig worked at Banker's until his retirement except for a few months while he operated a general store in Milberger. He was in charge of Banker's ladies ready-to-wear & piece goods department. He married Amalia Vogel on Sept. 22, 1912, in Milberger. She died Dec. 12, 1972. Reisig was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Russell.
Survivors Include two sons, Adolph, Hays, and Max, Boulder, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Ada Ryan, Lakewood, Colo. Mrs. Isabella Blaustein, West Palm Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Helen Pfeifer, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 10 Grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Cline's All-Faith Chapel with Pastor Herman Frerichs officiating. Burial will be In the Russell City Cemetery. Friends may call at Clime's until service time. A memorial has been established with the Russell City Hospital.
