Ronnie L. Burch, 73, of Taylorville, passed away at 8:02 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.
He was born October 1, 1938, in Georgetown, IL, the son of Henry M. and Fern G. Dowers Burch. He married Kathy Knazavich on January 7, 1964.
He was employed in security at Sangamon Card Company and the FBI office. He loved to go fishing and liked his cars.
Surviving are his sons, Terry (Kathy) Gurley, Ron Gurley, Gene Burch and Tim Burch (Diane) Burch; daughters, Rose (Randy) Claflin and Deborah (Larry) Downing; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Dorris (Eddie) Hughes and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Kathy.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012, with Pastor Eric Stillwell officiating.
