Third child and first daughter of Lieuwen Spencer Anderson and Charles Carpenter Anderson.
Her early years were spent helping out at home in Glendale after her mother became ill and she took over helping to raise her siblings at the age of 14.
After growing up and obtaining a teaching degree she taught schools in Alton & Glendale UT, then later in Fredonia AZ.
She met Elmer Rider and they dated until he was called to serve in the European Theater during WWII. Upon arriving home in 1945 they continued to date until they married Dec 31 in the St.George Temple.
They lived in various places in CA and UT then moved to Fredonia AZ for the last 55 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer, son Ronald, her parents, three brothers L'Dean, Keith and Kent Anderson and great-grandson Athan Weaver.
She is survived by her remaining 5 sons, Richard, Dennis, Marvin, Robert and Curtis and her daughter Shirlyn; two sisters Rose Olsen and Barbara Olson, 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services held Fri Feb 24 at the Fredonia LDS Church. Arrangements made with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab.
