Services for Walter Kennedy Boatwright were held in the Baird Baptist Church. Mr. Boatwright moved to Callahan County in the early 1890s and settled five miles west of Putnam on Deep Creek, where he lived until moving to Mission in 1930. In Mission, he went into the Citrus fruit business which was very successful. In Callahan County, he was a prominent rancher and farmer. Survived by his wife; one son - Homer Boatwright; a number of grandchildren.
