Followed by Sherman's march to the sea and siege of Savannah. The Carolinas campaign – Salkehatchie Swampts Feb 3-5 1865, Battle of Bentonville Mar 20-21, Occupation of Raleigh, surrender of Johnston and his army, march to Washington D.C. for Grand Review May 24 1865.
