Mr. Aldy Lee Bowman, age 98, of Ararat, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Northern Regional hospital in Mt. Airy.

He was born in Patrick County on January 16, 1923 to the late William and Mary Goins Bowman.

Mr. Bowman retired from N.C. Granite Company after many years of service.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Dorothy Puckett Bowman of the home; daughters and son in-law, Linda and Jackie Stroud, Shirley woods and special friend Tommy Hawks; sons and daughter in-law, Junior Bowman, Burton and Diane Bowman; step-children, Barnell and Johnny King; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Colonel and Libby Bowman.

In addition to his parents Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by his first wife Clara Belle Bowman; a son, Grady Lee Bowman; sisters, Myrtle Pack, Maxie Goins and Nannie Bowman.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Indian Grove Community Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Ricky Rogers, Rev. George Lambert, and Eric Sawyers. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 10am until time for the service.
