Nelson Arnold Moore, 67, died Thursday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Moore was a retired motor pool supervisor at Greene Valley Developmental Center.

He was a graduate of Greeneville High School.

Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Army.

His family noted, "He enjoyed the company of his cats 'Grayson,' 'Monet' and 'Miss Kitty,' and also enjoyed woodcarving, painting and collecting comics."

He is survived by his wife: Joyce Ann Cox Moore of Greeneville; a niece: Anna Lynn Ward, and a nephew: David Brown, both of Mountain City; special cousins: James Farnsworth and Joe Farnsworth, both of Greeneville; and a brother-in-law: Carroll Cox of Johnson City.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nina Moore; his father, Clyde Moore, and a sister, Helen Brown.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Greeneville-Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
