Carrie Cynthia (Rickett) Starr, 93, of Conway went to her heavenly home on Monday, February 20, 2012. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas on Wednesday, January 22, 1919, to Richard and Alma (Taylor) Rickett.

Carrie was married to Eldon C. Starr and they had five children. She was an active member of the University Church of Christ. A kind and gentle lady, she was treasured by family and numerous friends. She holds a very special place in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Carma and her husband Gaylord Allison, Margaret and her husband Vincent Elentri, and Brenda and her husband Pat Griffith; son, Lawrence and wife Kathryn Starr; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Edwards; brother, Durell Rickett; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom were special to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one infant son; and one infant great-grandson.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with Brother Charles Melton officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m., in Mt. Vernon Cemetery with Scott Starr, Steve Starr, Chris Allison, Mark Elentri, Paul Edwards, Rick Edwards, Steve Edwards, Lynn Rickett, and Charles Rickett, serving as pallbearers. Pat Griffith, Gaylord Allison, Vince Elentri, Durell Rickett, and Bobby Starr will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 23, 2012.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Bill Roberts, staff at Heritage Living Center, Odyssey Hospice, and her good friend, Faye Smith for the love and care they provided our Mom during her last years.
