It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Charles Castle announces his passing on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at the age of 62.
Rick was a devoted husband, tremendous father, and provider for his family. He possessed strong Christian values rooted in hard work, community, and a generosity that extended well past his embracing arms. His absence in our lives can never be replaced, but neither will the influence nor inspiration he instilled and nurtured.
Rick will be lovingly cherished by his wife of 41 years, Sue; and remembered by his children. Rick will also be loved by his four grandchildren. Rick is further survived by his mother, Ursula Plummer; a brother; and our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend.
He was preceded in death by Edward Vernon Castle, Roger Plummer, and Jerome and Hettie Bray.
Funeral services will be held at ST. MARIA GORETTI CHURCH, 5313 Flad Ave., Madison, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local or favored Armed Services Charity.
