MUNCIE--Jason Earl Spears, 25, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at his residence.
Jason was born Sept. 5, 1978 in Muncie, the son of Jerry and Wanda Cain Spears, attended Central High School, and enjoyed playing slo-pitch softball and basketball.
Surviving along with his parents are two children, Jacob Spears, Farmland, and Brayden Spears, Muncie; grandmother, Jane Spears, Muncie; grandfathers, Jim Herbert, Muncie, and Walter Cain, Marion; two brothers, Robert and Jesse Spears, both of Muncie; and several aunts, uncles an cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, J.C. Spears; a grandmother, Shirley Herbert; and an aunt, Jacinna Spears.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in The Meeks Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and an hour before services on Monday.
