Eric J. Simpson, age 34 of New Albany died Thursday morning February 16, 2012 at Kobacker House in Columbus following a brief illness.
He was born on November 29, 1977 in Columbus to Jerry Simpson and the late Carolyn (Mertz) Simpson. He was a resident of Sunbury for most of his life. Eric was a 1996 graduate of Big Walnut High school and a 2001 graduate of Franklin University. He was employed as a Mortgage Officer at Chase Bank and a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
Eric was an avid sports fan enjoyed watching all sports including The Ohio State Buckeyes and playing golf. Eric had a good sense of humor, was carefree, helpful and a good friend.
In addition to his father he is survived by his wife: Michelle Zeigler Simpson and they were married August 11, 2007 in Sunbury; brothers: Ray (Jill) of Columbus, Greg (Amy) Manassas, VA., James (Maria) of New Albany; sister: Kathy (Jay) Weaver of Miss.; father-in-law: Rodney (Jill) Zeigler of Dublin; mother-in-law: Alice (Jeff) Lutz of Grove City.
